Norfolk Virginian May 20, 1896

Mr. William A. Tynan, a well known citizen, died at his residence, No. 67 
Bermuda Street, yesterday morning at 11:15 o'clock, aged 56 years. The deceased 
has for many years been employed by the Clyde Line and was highly respected by 
those who knew him. His funeral will take place from St. Mary's Catholic Church 
tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.

The funeral of Mr. William A. Tynan took place at 9 o'clock yesterday morning 
from St. Mary's Catholic Church and was conducted by the assistant pastor, Rev. 
Father Frioli, members of St. Patrick's Benevolent Association, to which the 
deceased belonged, being in attendance. The floral display was a very pretty 
one. The interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The following gentlemen acting as 
pallbearers: Messrs. M. McKevitt, John Connelly, John Kelly, Patrick Donahoe, 
William Hart, William Donovan, James Corbett, William Newstead and Nicholas 
Walsh.
