NORFOLK - Johnie Earl Tyson, of the 3400 block of Lens Ave, a landscaper, died
September 24, 1986, in Norfolk.

Mr. Tyson, a native of Farmville, N.C., was employed with Winn's Nursery for 20
years.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice M. Vaughn, Sharon L. Tyson and Wendy A.
Tyson, all of Norfolk; five sons, Johnie E. Tyson Jr., Michael Tyson, Eric L. Tyson,
and Ricky Tyson, all of Norfolk and Marvin B. Tyson of Farmville; a stepson, Ronnie
Poole; his mother, Brittie A. Tyson; three brothers, Chester Tyson, William Tyson,
both of Norfolk and George Tyson of White Plains, N.Y.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in New Mount Zion A.M.E. by the Rev.
Joseph Price. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2
to 8 p.m. Riddick Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at his
residence.
