The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday November 1, 1952
Mrs. Ruth Cleveland Uhlinger, widow of Maj. Percy Howard Uhlinger and daughter 
of the late George and Mrs. Bouquet Nooney Thomas, a native of Williamston, 
N.C., and a resident of this section for a number of years, died Tuesday at San 
Diego, Calif.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss LaVern VonYing Uhlinger, of Norfolk; one son, 
Percy Edward Uhlinger, of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. C.D. Hiensch, Mrs. 
L.C. Gordy and Mrs. D.W. Midgette, and two brothers, Jesse James Jones and 
Joseph Henry Jones, all of Norfolk. 
The body will be brought to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
