Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 15,1924 

Miss Lula M. Underdown, aged 59 years, died last night at 6:15 o'clock at the 
residence of her brother, Daniel A. Underdown, 110 West Thirty-fourth Street. 
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
Episcopal Church of the Ascension.

Miss Lula M. Underdown - Funeral services for Miss Underdown were conducted 
yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Episcopal Church of Ascension, the Rev. 
J.S. Meredith, rector, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral 
offerings. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. The pallbearers were: B.S. Joynes, 
Charles C. Grant, H.S. Arrington, W.V. Smith, H.W. Farratt, George A. Graham, 
John T. Buchanan and Charles A. Nagle.
