DIED -- At the residence, No. 346 Fairfax Avenue, corner Botetourt Street, 
Monday, July 26, 1915, at 8 o'clock p.m. CAROLINE V., widow of John Upton, in 
the 68th year of her age.

The funeral of Mrs. Caroline V. Upton, who died Monday night at her residence, 
346 Fairfax Avenue, will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the 
residence, and the service will be conducted by Rev. Sparks W. Melton, pastor 
of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. 
Robert J. Upton of Portland, Ore., who was hurrying to his mother's bedside 
when her death occurred, is expected to arrive in Norfolk this morning.
