Caron was born in Norfolk, and was a graduate of Virginia Tech with honors. She was a poet and a lector at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She was a senior partner with BTI Communications. Survivors include her son, Clayton Alexander, and his father, Mitchell Britt, of Virginia Beach; her mother, Polly Upton, of Virginia Beach; her father, Robert E. Upton Jr. and wife, Dr. Carole Van Aalten, of Norfolk; her sister, Marian G. Upton of Virginia Beach; her brother, Robert E. Upton III and wife Amy and their children, Kyle, Natalie and Alexis, all of Virginia Beach; her sister, Kristina Upton Jackson and husband, Timothy, and their children, Alexander and Christopher, all of Virginia Beach; her brother, Paul M. Upton and wife, Kathy, and son, Ethan, of Richmond; her grandfather, Robert C. Sellers of Panama City, Fla.; aunts, Barbara Roland of Virginia Beach, Marian Haftel of Jacksonville, Fla., Camilla Worrel of Virginia Beach and her children, Lawson Worrell of Hawaii and Ann Worrell Ritter of New Jersey; her uncles, Michael LaGiglia Jr. and wife, Marty, and their children, Michael LaGiglia III and Ellen LaGiglia, all of Virginia Beach and Joseph C. LaGiglia. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Father James E. Dorson. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Following the wake the family will receive friends until 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Clayton Alexander Upton College Trust Fund, 937 Rudee Court, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
