Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 5, 1916

Peter Utz, 59 years old, a native of Baltimore, died yesterday at 3 p.m. He had 
lived in Norfolk for 35 years and is survived by a wife, two daughters, Mrs. 
Norman Wilson and Mrs. G.W. Swarthout; one son, Bernard J. Utz, all of Norfolk, 
Va.; three brothers, George Utz, of Baltimore; Joseph Utz, of Columbus, Ohio and 
Frank Utz, of Norfolk. He was a member of the Norfolk Lodge of Elks and was well 
known in the city. Funeral will take place at Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-
612 Freemason Street, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

UTZ – Suddenly, on Friday, February 4, 1916, at 3 o’clock p.m., PETER UTZ, in 
the 59th year of his age.
Services at H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, 610-612 East Freemason street, 
SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 2:30 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
