The Virginian Pilot Saturday December 21, 1963


Norfolk-Mrs. Julia Hodges Uzzell, 96, formerly of 807 Colonial Avenue, widow of 
Robert L. Uzzell and daughter if Solomon and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fatherly 
Hodges, died Thursday in an area nursing home.
She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth U. Krouka, of Wilmington, Del., and 
Mrs. Tirzah Uzzell Hopkins of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. George H. Boyd of Larchmont Methodist Church. Burial will be 
in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
