Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 8, 1951

Martin Vaeth, 78, died at his home at 2815 Victoria Avenue yesterday at 11 a.m.
He was a native of Germany and a resident of Norfolk for many years. He was the 
son of the late Carl and Emma Vaeth.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine A. Vaeth; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine 
Eichhorn, of Norfolk and Mrs. J. Anastas, of New York; two grandchildren and a 
half brother, Carl Ritter, of New York.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. The body was removed to H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments.

VAETH, MARTIN - At the residence, 2815 Victoria Avenue, Tuesday, August 7, 1951, 
at 11 a.m., MARTIN VAETH, husband of Mrs. Catherine A. Vaeth, and son of the 
late Carl and Mrs. Emma Vaeth, in the 79th year of his age. Remains will be 
taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church for services FRIDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the 
family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
