Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, June 8, 2002
NORFOLK - William W. Vander, 58, of the 700 block of W. 34th St., left his
earthly tabernacle and entered into eternal life June 5, 2002.

He resided in Norfolk where he worked as a housekeeper at Harbour Point Medical
Center for 14 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Georgia L. Vander; two daughters,
Denise Smith and Cynthia Dawson; a son, William W. Vander III; a son-in-law,
Oscar Dawson; a daughter-in-law, Nancy S. Vander; six grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hale Funeral Home. The
family will assemble at 2 p.m. at 896 Ingleside Road for the procession to the
funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery .
