NORFOLK - Mrs. Nancy Lawler Vanderberry, of 1225 Larchmont Crescent, the widow 
of William Andrews Vanderberry and a lifelong Norfolk resident, died Wednesday 
in Bermuda. She was stricken aboard the cruise ship March Gras.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its St. Ann Circle, 
Josephine Taylor Circle of the King’s Daughters, and Larchmont Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ann Vanderberry Williams of Norfolk, a son, 
Edward Lee Vanderberry of Virginia Beach, eight grandchildren, and two great-
grandchildren.
A Christian Wake service will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be said Monday at 10 a.m. in 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family 
will be at 7940 North Shore Road, Norfolk.
