Van Deventer, a former resident of Berkley, died yesterday in Baltimore, according to a telegram received here yesterday by relatives. Mrs. Van Deventer moved to Baltimore eight years ago, after having lived in Berkley for practically all her life. Funeral services will be conducted at the home of her nephew, Charles E. Rudd, 48 Poplar Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. *********************************************************************** Mrs. Susan Van Deventer - Funeral services for Mrs. Van Deventer, who died in a Baltimore hospital Tuesday afternoon, will be conducted at the residence of her nephew, Charles E. Rudd, 46 Poplar Avenue, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Beecher L. Rhodes, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Van Deventer was a native of Portsmouth and was a daughter of the late Robert and Mrs. Mary Moore Pettitt. She was a widow of Jacob Van Deventer. The deceased had lived in Berkley forty years, prior to making her home in Baltimore ten years ago. She is survived by one grandson, Warren Tyler, Philadelphia and several nephews. The body will arrive here this morning and will be taken to the residence of Mr. Rudd. The deceased was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church during her residence here, which connection she retained until the time of her death. VANDEVENTER Funeral services for Mrs. VanDeventer, who died in Baltimore Tuesday, were conducted at the home of her nephew, Charles E. Rudd, 46 Poplar Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Beecher L. Rhodes, pastor of Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, conducted the services. The flowers were in profusion and the attendance was large. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers as follows: Charles E. Rudd, W. Stockton Rudd, Walter S. Rudd, Frank M. Rudd, William Pettitt and Edward Pettitt.
