The Norfolk Landmark December 10, 1892

The funeral services of Mr. Warren VanDeventer were conducted at the Berkley 
Avenue Baptist Church at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon by the Rev. Dr. A.E. Owen. 
The Rev. Robert VanDeventer and his wife came down from Henderson, N.C. Thursday 
evening and were present at the last sad obsequies which consigned to earth the 
remains of his venerable and respected father, at the age of 73 years, in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
