Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, June 25, 1990 
Lillian D. ``Grandma'' Vann, of the 3400 block of Wakefield Drive, a retired
school cafeteria manager, died June 22, 1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Vann, a native of Norfolk, had retired from the Norfolk Public School
System after 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bolling Brook in
Norfolk. She was a member of the senior usher board and was a Youth Council
worker. Mrs. Vann was the widow of John R. Vann.

Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Lundy of Portsmouth; a son, Robert E. Vann
of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Dorothy Langston and Flossie McAllister, both of
Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church
Bolling Brook by the Rev. Joseph Price. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the
church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at 11:45 a.m.
Wednesday at the residence for the procession to the church. Twilight Funeral
Home is handling arrangements.
