Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday July 31, 1949
George Washington Van Nostrand - Funeral services for Mr. Van Nostrand will be 
conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Rev. 
Leroy Davis, pastor of the Portlock Methodist Church. Burial will be in 
Magnolia Cemetery.

VAN NOSTRAND GEORGE WASHINGTON - At a local nursing home, Friday afternoon, 
July 29, 1949 at 3:55 o'clock, GEORGE WASHINGTON VAN NOSTRAND, son of Thadius 
and Elizabeth Pearsol Van Nostrand, in the 88th year of his age. Funeral 
services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, MONDAY 
AFTERNOON, August 1, 1949 at 2 o'clock. Friends of the family invited to 
attend. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

George Washington Van Nostrand - Funeral services for Mr. Van Nostrand were 
conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home yesterday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. 
Leroy Davis, pastor of the Portlock Methodist Church. Pallbearers were W. Cliff 
Land, H.A. Tarkenton, D.C. Phelps, W.J. Litchfield, Philip H. Stroud and J.E. 
Jones. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
