The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Wednesday October 9, 1935

George W. Van Pelt, former resident of Norfolk, died Monday at Larchmont, N.Y. 
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. H. M. Cool, and two 
grandchildren. Mr. Van Pelt was a former deacon of the First Presbyterian 
Church here. Services will be held at H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 
East Freemason Street, Norfolk, today at 12 o’clock noon, with the Rev. J.L. 
MacMillan, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. 
Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
