He was a native of Hertford County, N.C., but had made his home here for the last nine years. He was the son of Henry Thomas and Mrs. Clara Mabel Barham Vaughan. Besides his wife, Mrs. Sallie Kate Johnson Vaughan, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.D. Berry and Mrs. C.W. Sawyer and one son, Willard Vaughan, all of South Norfolk; two brothers, Walter Vaughan, of Dayton, O. and J.G. Vaughan, of Courtland, and four grandchildren. He was a member of Berkley Camp No. 46, W.O.W. The body was removed to the funeral home of Graham & Sykes, Jefferson and Jackson streets, South Norfolk. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the residence on Twenty- first street. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
