Vaughan, wife of Howard S. Vaughan, died at her home in the Boissevain Apartments, after an illness of ten years duration, during which she had been a great but patient sufferer She leaves a mother, Mrs. C.A. Davis of Norfolk, a brother, Charles E. Davis of Norfolk, and an only sister, Mrs. R.E. Smith of Wilmington, N.C. The deceased was born in Norfolk and had resided here during her life. She was a woman of beautiful character, full of Christian graces and from early childhood had been a consistent member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Her funeral will take place from her late residence in the Boissevain Apartments and will be conducted by Rev. W.M. Vines. ******************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Emma K. Vaughan, wife of Howard S. Vaughan, was held from her late residence in the Bossevain apartments at noon yesterday and was conducted by Rev. W.M. Vines, D.D., of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, of which the deceased was long a member. There was a profusion of lovely floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: J.L. Whitehurst, F.K. Carlon, John B. Jenkins, M. Winston, George W. Dey, S. Dozier and Capt. Edward Robinson.
