A native of Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Mrs. Edmonia Moody. She was a member of the choir, Senior Missionary Society, and taught Sunday school at Queen Street Baptist Church. She was a member of Ada Eastern Star Chapter, Arabia Court 23, Daughter of Isis, Herior of Jerile 3, Golden Circle, J.W. Barnes 3, and Independent Social and Savings Club. Surviving are three nephews, William H. Moody and Raymond J. Vaughan of Norfolk, and James Crite of Portsmouth. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. Jasper Freeman. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
