Norfolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Susie S. Vaughan, who died July 3 at her 
residence, 1015 Craig street, were held July 9 at the St. James AME Church with 
the Rev. J. Russell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rebecca Mackey and the 
Rev. H. B. Threadgill.  Mrs. Mayme Linnett and Mrs. Minnie B. Fottes rendered 
music.  Condolences were read by Mrs. Buena Bell and Mrs. Eva Floyd.
Pallbearers were Bennie Etheridge, Allen Watson, B. J. Welch, J. Barnes.  
Arnetta Tents attended in a body.  Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her daughter, 
Mrs. Ruth Vaughan Fonville.  Interment was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery with the 
Chatman Funeral Home in charge.
