She was a native of Hertford County, N.C., and had made her home here for 16 years. She was the daughter of the late Prince Albert and Kitty Sue Johnson, and widow of William E. Vaughn. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.D. Berry and Mrs. C.W. Sawyer; one son, Willard E. Vaughn, all of South Norfolk; six brothers, J.D. Johnson, of South Norfolk; S.P. Johnson of Roxobel, N.C.; B.F. Johnson, of Great Bridge; C.T. Johnson, Wilmington, Del.; W.P. Johnson, Rich Square, N.C., and A.S. Johnson, Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. A.J. Johnson and Mrs. O.L. Hanbury, both of South Norfolk, and six grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson (sic) was a member of the Baptist Church, of Woodland, N.C. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jefferson and Jackson streets, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery.
