Mrs. Alice Veale of 800 Summit avenue who died at her home Jan. 28 was scheduled 
to receive final rites Thursday at Metropolitan AME Zion Church.

The Rev. R. A. Councill was to officiate and        burial was to be in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Graves Funeral Home.

Mrs. Veale was a native of Courtland, and was a Norfolk resident 50 years.  She 
held membership in Metropolitan and served on its usher board and was a member 
of the Good  Samaritans, St. Mary Household, Silver Queen Circle and Waldorf-
Eureka.

Survivors include two sons, John and William Veale of New York; a daughter, Miss 
Mary Veale also of New York;  a sister, Mrs. Catherine Reynolds of New York;  
and a brother, Acey Williams of Courtland.
