The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, March 6, 1990

NORFOLK - Belver "Sissie" Rowe Veale, of the 110 block of Baltimore St., a 
retired sample inspector, died March 2, 1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Veale, a Norfolk native, had retired from Penrod Jurden and Clark Co. after 
29 years. She was the widow of Andrew Veale. She was a member of First Baptist 
Church Logan Park and Rising Sun Order of Eastern Star Lodge 32.

Survivors include a daughter, Lucy G. Cumber of Norfolk, and two brothers, 
Russell Washington of Norfolk and Garfield M. Brock of Texas.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Logan 
Park by the Rev. B.O. Moody and the Rev. J.L. Kearney St. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. 
Family and friends will assemble at 7524 Diven St. at noon for the procession. 
Metropolitan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
