VEALE - At the residence of her sister, Mrs. J.H. Crowder, No. 423 Fayette 
Street, Portsmouth, Va., on Sunday, April 5, 1908, at 9:40 o'clock a.m., JULIA 
SLADE WOOD, wife of J.T. Veale, in the 29th year of her age.
Funeral and interment private TODAY (Tuesday) April 7, at 12 o'clock, Cedar 
Grove Cemetery, Norfolk, Va.

The funeral of Mrs. Julia Slade Wood Veale, whose death occurred at the home of 
her sister in Portsmouth, was held privately in Norfolk at noon yesterday. The 
service was conducted by Rev. S.J. Brown, of Wright Memorial Methodist Church, 
Portsmouth. The interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Following were the 
pallbearers: Harry Butt, George Newton, Edward Riddick, C.C. Butt, Newton Horton 
and Joseph O'Connor.
