NORFOLK - William D. Vernon, 33, of 1269 Boothe St. died Wednesday morning in a 
hospital after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of William L. and Mrs. Mildred Whitfield 
Vernon.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Besides his parents, surviving are a son, Roderick Vernon, and three brothers, 
Larry Vernon, Grayson Vernon, and Trent Vernon, all of Norfolk, and five 
sisters, Mrs. Rosalyn V. Bell of Virginia Beach and Misses Gloria Vernon, 
Carolyn Vernon, Delores Vernon, and Pamela Vernon of Norfolk.

The Rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. in B.F. King's Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10::30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Harold Gregory. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will meet at 3066 Pioneer Ave.
