 Norfolk Virginian December 30, 1877

Saturday, December 29th, at 9:45 o'clock p.m., Mrs. ROSINA VIETH, wife of Mr. 
Ignatz Vieth, in the 53d year of her age.
Her funeral will take place MONDAY AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock, from her late 
residence on the corner of Main Street and Roanoke Avenue. The friends and 
acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

                         Death of a Most Estimable Woman

We are pained to announce today the death of Mrs. Rosina Vieth, which occurred 
last night at 9:45 o'clock, after a very painful illness of several months. This 
will be sad news to her many friends, who had learned to esteem and respect her 
for her great charity and kindness of heart. Few in Norfolk were known as well 
as the deceased. She was a woman of noble traits of character, who never ceased 
in her efforts to relieve the needy, for none in want was ever turned away from 
her door. Her loss will be greatly mourned. Her funeral will take place tomorrow 
afternoon from her late residence. May the sod rest gently on her grave.
