Norfolk Journal and Guide, Mar 30,1963
Arthur Vines, 70, of 217 Tidewater drive, a retired Norfolk Naval Base employee 
and a veteran of World War I, received final rites Sunday at Antioch Baptist 
Church, where he held membership.  The Rev. J. W. Matthews officiated at the 
service.

He was buried with military honors in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements were 
handled by Morning Glory Funeral Home.

Mr. Vines died March 20 in Kecoughtan Veterans Hospital.  He was a native of 
Weldon, NC.

Survivors include a brother, Joe L. Vines of Philadelphia;  and four sisters, 
Mrs. Lula Riddick of Jersey City, Miss Richetta Vines of Seabrook, NJ,  Mrs. 
Elizabeth Parker and Mrs. Lille Mae Bryant of Norfolk.
