Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, January 8, 2004 
Jimmie Vines of the 700 block of Lake Edward Drive died Jan. 5, 2004, in a local
hospital. A native of Norfolk, he was a manager of BP Service Station
convenience store. He is survived by his mother, Mary Parker; seven sisters,
Gloria Laughlin, Betty Butts, Barbara McIntyre, Myrtle Hargrove, Hazel Vines ,
Cynthia Vines , Marvette Syms and Glenda Scott; three brothers, George Vines ,
Ray Vines and Marshall Vines ; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was
predeceased by his father, George Vines Sr.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Logan Park,
by the Rev. George Spicer. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
