Von Zollikofer who died in Italy, arrived here today and the funeral takes place this afternoon at 4 o’clock from the Christ Episcopal Church, The deceased was formerly of this city. She was a sister of the late John R. Ludlow, Mayor of Norfolk and her first husband was Dr. Selden, of this place. During the War Between the States she was intensely Southern in her sentiments, sharing the trials of the war with that fortitude characteristic of the Southern women. After the war she refused to be reconstructed and spent the remainder of her life Europe. Norfolk Ledger Dispatch November 23, 1907 The Funeral of Baroness M. E. Von Zollikofer formerly of this city, who died in Italy, took place at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon at Christ Episcopal Church, the rector, Rev. J. W. Morris D.D. officiating. There were handsome floral tributes. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, the following being the pall- bearers. Honorary- Captain William C. Whittle, Captain H. P. Loyall, Colonel Walter H.
