Mrs. Waddill was born in Greenville, N.C., and lived most of her life in Norfolk. She was the daughter of the late Charles Stuart Carr and Pattie Skinner Carr. She was predeceased by her husband James Franklin Waddill M.D.; and her two brothers, Charles Albert Carr of Danville and Charles Stuart Carr of Richmond. Survivors include her sister, Myra Carr Baldwin of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Anne Waddill O'Connor of Virginia Beach, Patricia Waddill Laszczak of Germantown, Md.; five grandchildren, Margaret Christian O'Connor of Richmond, Charles Stuart O'Connor of Greenville, N.C., William Joseph O'Connor of Virginia Beach, Sven and Tatiana Laszczak, both of Germantown, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Andrew Macbeth. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Music Fund at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
