Portsmouth - Mrs. Eva A. Wadley of 112 Wynn St., the widow of William Wadley and 
a Portsmouth native, died Tuesday, August 9 in her home.

She was a member of C. H. Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ on Goff Street, 
Norfolk, and its Mother’s board.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Touchstone of Portsmouth, and 
Mrs. Augustine Perry, Mrs. Dorothy Singleton, and Mrs. Mildred Peacox of New 
York;  a son, Lynwood Wadley, and a sister, Mrs. Daisey Gay, both of Norfolk;  
eight grandchildren;  12 great-grandchildren;  and two great-great-
grandchildren.

A funeral was held Friday, August 12 in C. H. Mason Memorial Church on Goff 
Street, Norfolk, by Elder David Williams.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, 
Norfolk, with Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, in charge.
