Virginian Pilot January 28, 1962

Walter Paul Wagner, 55, of 1328 Hillside Ave., husband of Mrs. Mildred Marois 
Wagner and son of John Phillip and Mrs. Augusta Marie Shiffelbein Wagner, died 
at 3 a.m. Saturday in a Norfolk hospital.
He was a native of Fairview, Okla. and lived in Norfolk 20 years.
He formerly was employed at the Public Works Center at the Naval Base.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wagner Benzie of 
Portsmouth; a grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Weddle of Kansas City, Mo.; and 
two brothers, Fred Wagner of Sedalia, Mo. and Ira Wagner of Madill, Okla.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. W.A. Chappell Jr. of Miles Memorial Methodist Church. Burial 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will be at 1140 Toler Place.

a.m., WALTER PAUL WAGNER, husband of Mrs. Mildred Marois Wagner, and son of the 
late John Phillip and Mrs. Augusta Marie Shiffelbein Wagner, in the 56th year of 
his age. Services at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, 
MONDAY AFTERNOON at 2 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. 
Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
