Walke, the law stud student from Norfolk who, as is now admitted, committed suicide at the Univ University of Virginia Sunday night, were today taken to Norfolk. Walke was a man man of excellent moral character, and his rash act was due to bad health and desp despondency. He took his life by stabbing himself in the region of the heart and and by cutting his throat with a pen-knife. Walke’s body was discovered lying across his bed in his room, No. 78 East Ran Range, about 8:30 o’clock Sunday night by two of his fellow students, J.M. Yar Yarborough ad N.G. Henshaw, who room in the same building, the headquarters of the the Zeta Phi Fraternity. Early Sunday afternoon Mr. Walke was engaged in conversation with these two ge gentlemen. About 2:30 he went to his room saying he was going to write some le letters home. Nothing was thought of his failure to put in his appearance at th the supper table, but about 8:30 o’clock, Mr. Henshaw, who was in search of a bo book, went to Mr. Walke’s room and there found the body as above stated. Death had evidently occurred several hours before.
