Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Friday January 6, 1933
Mrs. Laura Wallace Walke, aged 76, widow of William H. Walke, died yesterday 
morning at 2:20 o'clock at the family residence, 426 South Main street, 
Berkley.
Mrs. Walke was a native of Norfolk County and a member of one of the best-
known families in the State. She had resided for 53 years in this city, 
where she was well known and esteemed. She was a daughter of the late Alfred 
C. and Mrs. Mary Kennedy Wallace, of the well-known Wallace family, of 
Wallaceton, Norfolk County.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Wallace Walke and Herbert L. Walke, and one 
sister, Miss Annie Wallace, all of Berkley.
The body was removed to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 1027 Chesapeake 
avenue, South Norfolk, where funeral service will be conducted tomorrow 
afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
