Walke, aged 75, died at his home, 4 Jackson street, South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a long illness. Born in Norfolk, Mr. Walke had lived in this section all his life and was one of the best known residents on the Berkley side of the river. He had served as justice of the peace in South Norfolk for several years and prior to this had held a position in the Norfolk Navy Yard many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emily Walker Walke; three daughters, Mrs. C.B. White, of Norfolk; Miss Evelyn Walke and Mrs. R.B. Nicholas, South Norfolk; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Ferguson, of East Falls Church. He was a member of Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church and Doric Lodge No. 44, A.F. & A.M. The body was taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 Berkley avenue, where funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
