Norfolk - George Walker of 532 W. 36th St. the husband of the late Mrs. Henretta
Walker and a retired, self-employed contractor, died Friday in a hospital.

He was a native of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was a contractor 40 years. He was
a World War I veteran and served as an Army corporal in France.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Spencer of Baltimore; two brothers, James
Walker of Norfolk and William Walker of West Virginia, and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev.
J. O. Allen. Burial will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery. A Wake will
be held in the funeral home Monday night from 7:30 to 8:30.
