Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 14,1960
William Walker, 96, of 1708 Vine street, died at a Norfolk nursing home on 
Wednesday May 4, after a short illness.

A native of Petersburg, VA, he was a member of St. Paul CME Church, where 
funeral rites were conducted on Sunday, May 8, by the Rev. William C. 
Flanagan, pastor.

Husband of the late Mrs. Priscilla Walker, he is survived by one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Bessie Wortham of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Alice Hill, 
and one brother, Frank Walker, both of Petersburg VA.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with B. F. King Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
