Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 4, 1996
Channie H. Walker, of the 1000 block of Springwood Court, died June 30, 1996, in
a local nursing home.

Mrs. Walker, a native of Henderson, N.C., retired from Virginia Power. She was a
member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Cecelia W. Wilkerson of Chesapeake, and Barbara
W. Merritt of Virginia Beach; two sons, Albert J. Walker of Baltimore, Md., and
Earl L. Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and
three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. J.L. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves Funeral Home
is in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence. The remains will be
in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
