Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, Nov 24,1962
The Rev. C. E. Griffin, pastor of First Calvary Baptist church, officiated at
funeral rites Nov. 16 at Morning Glory Chapel for Evans Walker who died at age
77 in a local hospital Nov. 13.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Randolph  Walker, Mr. Walker was a native of
Brunswick County, VA, and was retired after working at Old Dominion Docks for
some 25 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Walker;  four sons - Randolph,Robert,
Junius and Milton Walker, all of Norfolk;  and 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen Alston,
New York City;  Mrs. Ruth Askew, Norfolk;  and Mrs. Alice Freeman, Petersburg.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral home in charge of
arrangements.
