Virginia Beach Blvd., died April 12, 2004. A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Ernest Walker and a homemaker. She was a member of New Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an usher, member of Pastors Aid, missionary, Deaconess Ministry, Mothers Ministry, Senior Citizens Choir and Sunday school. She was also a member of Calvary Towers Ladies Group and the Calvary Towers Bible Study Group. She graduated form Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk. Survivors include a daughter, Clara Boone; adoptive daughter, Theodocia Fentress; a son, Ulysses L. Walker and wife Mildred; adoptive son, Roosevelt Williams; an aunt, Mattie Pritchett; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of other survivors. She was predeceased by her parents, Clara and Joseph Jones; two sisters, Evelyn Tew and Barbara Penn; and a brother, Leroy Jones. A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. in Rose of Sharon Baptist Church by the Rev. James Edwards III. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The procession will leave from Calvary Towers, 850 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, at noon. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
