Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, September 30, 1999 
Sherwood ``Lightning'' Walker, 49, of the 900 block of Fremont St., died Sept.
27, 1999, at a local hospital. He was a native of Norfolk.

Mr. Walker is survived by a daughter, Bon'Aravia D. Davis; four sisters, Shirley
Wilson, Linda Barnes, Theolia Barnes and Laversa Cartwright, all of Norfolk;
four brothers, Walter Barnes, Hammad A. Salaam, Anthony Barnes and David Barnes;
two grandchildren, Donzaha Davis and Don Brown Jr.; a very special friend, Gwen
Bailey; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his
parents, Dorothy J. and Walter W. Barnes.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Graves Funeral Chapel. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence.
