Norfolk Virginian March 8, 1896

Mr. Benjamin F. Walker died at his late residence, No. 65 Chapel Street, 
yesterday morning at 9:10 o'clock, in the 40th year of his age, after a 
lingering illness. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock 
from the residence and the services will be conducted by Rev. E.B. Hatcher, of 
the First Baptist Church. The deceased was a member of Washington Lodge No. 2, 
I.O.O.F., the members of which will turn out in a body. The interment will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.

The funeral of Mr. Benjamin F. Walker took place at 2:30 o'clock Sunday 
afternoon from his late residence, No. 65 Chapel Street and was conducted by 
Rev. J.T. Routten, of the LeKies Memorial Methodist Church. The interment was in 
Elmwood. Washington Lodge, I.O.O.F., to which he belonged, attended in a body.
