Norfolk - Sterling Walker Sr. of 2233 Maltby Ave., the husband of the late Mrs.
Adell Paterson Walker, died Wednesday in Lake Taylor City Hospital.

A native of Wakefield, he worked for Civil Service at Norfolk Naval Base for 22
years and retired.  He was a member of Norfolk Senior Citizens Club and Ebenezer
Baptist Church of Ivor.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emma Trotman of Jamaica, NY, Mrs.
Dorothy Thompson of New York, and Mrs. Janie Taylor of Norfolk;  three sons,
Larry W. Walker of Chesapeake, Charles B. Walker of New York, and Lawyer
Sterling W. Walker of Norfolk;  12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Pretlow’s Funeral Home Chapel by the
Rev. W. B. Westbrook.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation at the
funeral home will be from Saturday at 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.  The
family will be at 2840 Mapleton Ave., home of Lawyer and Mrs. Sterling Walker.
