The Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 31, 1981
CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Louisa Sargeant Wallace, 58, of 3500 George Washington 
Highway, wife of John J. Wallace, died Monday in Chesapeake General 
Hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk and a lifelong area resident. She attended 
Georgetown Visitation Junior College. She was also president of Norfolk 
County Historical Society and a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, Norfolk.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louisa Wallace Hammond of 
Tappahannock; three sons, John G. Wallace IV and George T. Wallace III of 
Chesapeake and Ben J. Wallace of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth 
Iredell of Norfolk; two brothers, George H. Sargeant of Norfolk and Ben J. 
Sargeant of Charlottesville; and five grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Vincent Connery. Burial will be in 
Magnolia Cemetery with H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk in charge. 
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Fund.
