WALLACE CLAIMED BY DEATH Widely Known Business Man And Resident Of Berkey Dies At Age Of 75 Joseph A. Wallace, aged 75, treasurer and a director of the Atlantic Permanent Building and Loan Association of Berkley and Norfolk, died last night at 10 o'clock at his home, 426 Main Street, Berkley. Mr. Wallace was one of the most prominent residents of Berkley and took an active part in the business and civic life of this city. He was a director of the Seaboard National Bank and also a director of the Seaboard National Company, Inc. He was a native of Deep Creek, Norfolk County, a member of the well-known Wallace family, Wallaceton, but had lived in Berkley for the past 30 years. He was the son of Alfred and Mary F. Kennedy Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a bachelor and is survived by two sisters, Miss Annie Wallace and Mrs. Laura R. Walke and two nephews, Herbert L. Walke and J. Wallace Walke, all of Berkley. The body was taken to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk, pending funeral arrangements.
