R. Wallace died Sunday night at his home, No. 15 Falkland Street, at 8:35 o'clock, after a lingering illness, in the 58th year of his age. The deceased had been a member of the Norfolk fire department for a number of years and held t the position of engineer at the time of his death. He is survived by a brother, W. A. Wallace, of the firm of Rudolph & Wallace, and two daughters. The city hall bell was tolled yesterday as a mark of r respect to his memory. The funeral will be held from his late residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
