Norfolk - Mrs. Iola F. Wallace, 81, of 2431 West Ave., the wife of C. K. Wallace
and a native of Hyde County, NC, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, in a hospital.

She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church for 50 years and served
on its senior usher board.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie S. Peele of Philadelphia; a son,
William F. Swindell of Chesapeake; a sister, Mrs. Anna Ladesma, and four
brothers, David Franklin, Jimmy Franklin, Glendale Franklin, and Joseph
Franklin, all of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 12, in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by
the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Jones Funeral
Home in charge.
