Norfolk - Clarence K. Wallace, age 83, of 2431 West avenue, died October 12 in 
St. Francis Hospital, NY, after a long illness.

A native of Portsmouth, VA, he was the husband of the late Iola F. Wallace, and 
the son of the late Herbert and Dollie Wallace. He retired from being on U.S. 
Post Office. He was a member of Bank St. Memorial Baptist Church over 50 
years,founder Church Boosters - formerly clerk of church - Sunday School 
Superintendent, and teacher-church section. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. 
Dollie Gardner of Hopewell Junction, NY; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marie Peel of 
Norfolk VA; one stepson, William Swindell, Sr of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 17, in Bank St. Memorial Baptist 
Church, by the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Jones 
Funeral Home had charge.
