Norfolk Ledger Dispatch May 31, 1935

William Walsh, aged 83, son of William and Margaret Hegarty Walsh, died at his 
residence, 518 West Twenty-ninth Street, yesterday  afternoon at 4:55 o'clock. 
Mr. Walsh was a native of Ireland and a resident of Norfolk for the past 60 
years. He was a retired stevedore and was widely known. His wife, Mrs. Catherine 
Murphy Walsh, died several years ago. Surviving him are four daughters, Mrs. 
James Cox, Mrs. H.L. Williams, Mrs. J.F. Bannister and Mrs. John T. Callahan; 
three sons, William J., Michael J. and George V. Walsh; 17 grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild; a niece, Miss Mary Cashman and four nephews, William, James, 
John and Daniel Cashman.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, of which Mr. Walsh 
was a consistent member, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in 
St. Mary's Cemetery.

May 30th, 1935, at 4:55 o'clock p.m., WILLIAM, son of the late William and 
Margaret Hegarty Walsh, in the 84th years of his age.
Funeral services at St. Mary's Catholic Church, SATURDAY MORNING at 10 o'clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's cemetery.
