Mr. Walsh was a native of Ireland and a resident of Norfolk for the past 60 years. He was a retired stevedore and was widely known. His wife, Mrs. Catherine Murphy Walsh, died several years ago. Surviving him are four daughters, Mrs. James Cox, Mrs. H.L. Williams, Mrs. J.F. Bannister and Mrs. John T. Callahan; three sons, William J., Michael J. and George V. Walsh; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a niece, Miss Mary Cashman and four nephews, William, James, John and Daniel Cashman. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, of which Mr. Walsh was a consistent member, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
