Virginian Pilot September 11, 1955

Mrs. Martha Cecelia Wright Walsh, 81, widow of John J. Walsh, died at a Norfolk 
hospital Saturday at 9:10 p.m.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 7314 Hampton 
Boulevard at the time of her death. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church. 
Surviving her are two daughters, Miss Theresa Walsh and Mrs. Lena Walsh Chapman, 
both of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, pending arrangements.

Mrs. Martha Cecelia Wright Walsh - The body of Mrs. Walsh, widow of John J. 
Walsh and daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. California Dey Wright, who died 
Saturday at a Norfolk hospital, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services today at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
